My name is George Petrakis. I was born in Athens (Greece) where I am currently living. Since 2006, I am working as a Steadicam operator. My great passion for this job led me in 2003 to USA (Los Angeles and Philadelphia), where I attended 2 important workshops by Garrett Brown (inventor of Steadicam) and Jerry Holway who has worked in films, documentaries, commercial spots, Tv -series and music videos. My equipment is set according to the latest technology updates and I am constantly informed about any new developments in filming. In my equipment is added the MK-V Ωmega AR2 system that is the most advanced body mounted camera stabilization platform in the world. My latest equipment addition is TRINITY 2. It is the first hybrid camera stabilizer that combines classic mechanical stabilization with advanced active electronic stabilization, provided via 32-bit ARM-based gimbal technology. This combination results in five axes of control and enables uniquely fluid, wide-ranging, and precisely controlled movements for unrestricted shooting and total creative freedom.
